Drive from Lhasa to Xigaze and stay overnight to get permits and do paperwork the following day.

Drive from Xigaze to Gyantse (~3977 m) and stay overnight.

Drive from Gyantse to Tingri (~ 4350 m), and stay one night to acclimatise
April 19:
Drive to Rongbuk and Everest Base Camp (EBC) (~ 5200m)
April 20-24:
Stay at EBC to acclimatise and to prepare loads for Advance Base Camp (ABC) and higher camps.
April 25:
Trek to Intermediate Camp (~ 5760 m)
April 26:
Acclimatisation day in Intermediate Camp
April 27:
Climb to ABC (~ 6340 m)
April 28/May 24 :
Climbing Period – moving between EBC and ABC to get supplies in place; climb from ABC to Camp 2 (~7650 m) to acclimatise; prepare High Camp (~ 8000 m); climb to Summit (8848 m) and descend to ABC.
May 25:
Descend from ABC to EBC
May 26:
Hopefully we are not forced to fly back via Lhasa but can – as originally planned – drive from Tingri (~ 4350 m), via Nyalam (~ 3750 m) to Zhangmu (~2300 m) and stay there a night.
May 27:
Cross the Sun Kosi river, that forms the border between Nepal and Tibet, via the Sino-Nepali Friendship Bridge and drive back to Kathmandu (~ 1300 m)
May 28:
Departure to The Netherlands
